A TOTAL PARADISE! Sperafucile
This place is truly special. The owners are a delight and live on site. It is rather like being party of a country house party! We haven't enjoyed ourselves for ages. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!

LOVELY INDIAN HERITAGE VIBES
I myself am a fan of Indian history; and a friend recommended the Judges Court hotel in Kangra Valley. I'd like to say just one word. WOW. The hotel has a beautiful architecture and a farm. They keep period furniture in the rooms which is awesome. It really felt like living in the old British Indian period.

VERY NICE LOCATION
I'd like to thank the management of the Judge's Court for providing an amazing stay. The hotel is in an area where one can literally find peace and explore oneself; just the kind of place I was searching for....

NOSTALGIA ONCE MORE
It has an interesting history. The original owner was apparently a judge of the Lahore High Court and after retirement came back to his home town Pragpur and built this lovely "Manor". It takes you back to colonial, nostalgic times with its decor, furniture and excellent personalized services. Well furnished large rooms, a well maintained lawn. Lovely fire was lit in the evening on the lawns and drinks served from a bar laid out every evening. We were on our way to Palampur from Delhi and decided to just stay one night. Would be worth spending an extra day to further explore the surroundings.

OLD WORLD CHARM
A beautiful property.. ideal for a winter vacation if you want to soak in the sun in an old world environment. We stayed in the newer block above the dining room.. the room had big windows with the sun streaming into the room and a small balcony with amla laden trees at an arms length. The staff was extremely helpful despite the fact they do not have room service. The bar lounge, with a live fire completes the evening. The owners are very gracious and welcoming into their house. We had a great time.

TRULY DELIGHTFUL GLIPSE AT PAST TIMES
We stayed here for an overnight stop between Dharamshala and Shimla, and were enchanted by the history and decor of the Judges Court. It was though we were staying at a private club. Our vast bedroom opened out to a veranda which overlooked the grassed area to the rear. We sat and ate lunch in the sunshine on a newer restaurant patio, which was very pleasant. The room storage space was fine for our purposes and we were impressed with the quality of the furnishings. Dinner was a fixed menu and served with explanations on content which was interesting. The pre dinner cocktails on the lawn around an open fire were a nice touch. We walked down to the village after lunch and had a brief meander and were stuck by the friendly nature of all that we encountered. Don't build up your hopes for a swim in the pool at the front of the hotel though !! A really delightful experience that we would recommend to anyone en route to Shimla.

WOULD WE RETURN? YES - IN A HEARTBEAT
Amazing stay - a step back in time... A wonderful place with many authentic touches. Traditional building methods are used in the extension and this added to the charm. Sitting around braziers on the lawn drinking whiskey before dinner was a lovely experience. The Heritage Village of Pragpur is a short, safe walk away and was a view into the traditional life of a village.
Would we return, yes in a heartbeat!
